Steve Kornfeld, DVM, CPCC- President and founder of VCE

Dr. Steve Kornfeld has been a veterinarian since 1989. For the first five years of his career he managed a small animal practice. In 1993 he began an alternate path residency in veterinary dentistry, which he completed in 1999. He quickly realized his true passion was in teaching. He therefore produced and began delivering workshops in motivation and leadership in veterinary dentistry around the country. In these workshops, which vary from 1 to 4 days, students not only learn the techniques of high quality dentistry, they also learn how to develop a successful dental program. In 2002 Dr. Kornfeld began a program in professional and business coaching, which he completed in 2004. As a certified coach, Dr. Kornfeld now provides individual and group coaching to the veterinary community in addition to public speaking.

Dealing with hundreds of veterinary professionals, Dr. Kornfeld realized that the vast majority of practitioners believe it's enough to provide veterinary care to be successful. It is not. Providing veterinary care is very different from having a BUSINESS that provides veterinary care. Upon realizing this, Dr. Kornfeld developed a program that teaches practices and veterinarians to work on their practices, rather than just in them.
